Hello! I’m
Seo Dong Ryeol Good News Corp oversea Volunteer 16th class Uganda. In
Uganda, we’re continuing to gather volunteers for MEUT. Today, we had volunteer
workshop in KYAMBOGO university. I want to share this news about what happened
there.

This time, I was excited how workshop will go on. Though today’s Saturday, students came for the mind
lecture. I was glad to see those students who came and those who I invited when
I was advertising.

The Workshop
began with righteous dance which Ugandan dance team and GNCs prepared together. I saw many
students taking photo with their phone and enjoying the dance perfomance. I think IYF dance was new
to the students.
Mind Lecture
After all the performances and orientation, IYF country director gave a lecture. He presented about ‘the miracle of Han river’ and the internal problem of South Korea which economically.
“GDP $2,8000, world trade export 6th ”
“South Korea is wealthy country, right? What about people of Korea? Are
they happy?”
“No, they aren’t. suicide rate is 1st among OECD countries, delivery
rate is the lowest, divorce rate is 1st.”
“A lot of people think if we develop economically we become happy. But
that is not true”
“without right mind and strong heart, all those economical developments
can’t make us happy. ”
The students were listening to lecture which never heard from another lectures before. Among them one student attracted my eyes, he was deaf and listening lecture through sign language. I still remember the moment the students are patiently see the signed language, I expected that these children with disability that they can change their mind form positive mind positive mind

Mind Recreation
During Mind
recreation the student moved out and played games.Contrary to mind lecture
which could be boring, mind recreation is easy and joyful to learn the mind set
through playing games.
we divided into 2 teams and prepared 2
games. Each team took turn
as ball rolls from high place to low
place, the passing ball game reveals the
messge that always the love grace / heart of humans flow into low minds. While
the butterfly games has the message that am not caterpillar anymore but
butterfly Like the way the the caterpillar becomes the a butterfly
Through these games the students easily
learn the pure mindset through the games.
I had a
worry that whether “is recreation a childish and will the students enjoy it”
but later I could see the purity of the smiles of the students like children. Really
it was great excitement. Through this time we could share our heart and getting
along with them was very precious.
